About the Artist

I’ve had a passion for creativity as long as I can remember. Paint by numbers, any kind of craft, if it created something from nothing, I wanted to do it. I loved all art projects in school and it always brought a sense of joy that I took for granted until lately. I also grew up living so close to Disneyland that we used to watch the fireworks from our back yard in the summer. Countless Disneyland visits with family, friends and especially with my cousin and later taking dates there and later still with my wife and kids all created a lifetime of happy memories of time spent with loved ones. It also carved out a special place in my heart for the Disney parks.

I started painting about 30 years ago, alternating between oils and acrylics, I am currently using oils exclusively. After selling a couple paintings online, I thought I would take my painting more seriously. After all, I only have so many walls in my home to hang them on, though my wife wants to keep them all. I got in big trouble when my first Jungle Cruise painting sold online. I assured my wife I had listed it at an “I don’t want to sell” price, and then when the darn thing sold, I knew I was in trouble! I also knew I may have something here..

Though I have painted many subjects other than the Disney Parks, these paintings always manage to some easier to me. I think because they come from a place in my heart and I hope that is obvious to others viewing my work. I’ve also decided to concentrate on the parks with the hope that it brings back happy memories, ones of the joy and happiness that only a day at a Disney park can bring.

I sometimes find myself staring at the art pieces on our wall and my mind wanders to “that special moment” or “that trip” to Disney, memories of one of our trips as a kid, as a young adult, as a new Dad and now with my adult children. I love that those memories come alive every time someone sees the art and asks about it. The visits to the parks are priceless, and my hope is that through my artwork, others will re-live their memories as well.
