Shipping Information

We are dedicated to ensuring our artwork reaches you in perfect condition. We take pride in the quality of our packaging and shipping processes.

Packaging: Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure a safe delivery to your address. We take extra time and care to ship your artwork in custom-made containers. This ensures that your art piece is well-protected against potential damage during transit.

Insurance: We insure all original paintings during shipping. In the unlikely event that your painting suffers damage in transit, we will either refund your entire purchase price or work with you to ship a new artwork, based on your preference.

Shipping Times: Please note that processing times can vary, but we aim to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Once your order is complete, you will receive a tracking number via email, which includes a delivery estimate. Orders for original paintings are typically shipped within 1-3 business days. It takes us 3-5 Business Days to create and package your prints. Signed & numbered limited edition prints require a few extra days as they come back to our studio for signing before being shipped out. Most orders as well as canvas print orders take about 2-3 weeks for delivery.

We use UPS Ground, or USPS Priority in most cases. UPS offers better tracking, whereas USPS (US Mail) is cheaper, and faster for orders on the East Coast of the US. All international orders are sent via USPS.

Delivery Issues: While we've successfully shipped original artworks and have seldom experienced issues, we understand that problems may occasionally occur. If you have any issues with your delivery, please contact us immediately so we can help resolve the situation.

Please note, we are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimize the effect of the delay.

Small items and stacks of multiple prints are shipped flat, and larger prints and un-stretched canvases are shipped in tubes. We base our shipping prices on UPS and USPS Rates, with a small surcharge for packaging materials. Most print orders are between $15-$25 to ship (including packaging) however oversize orders and finished canvases may be more. Our shipping charges are based on our costs. We do not make money on shipping, and for large orders we often lose a little money on shipping. If you are unhappy with shipping charges please understand we are only passing on our costs.

When shipping multiples, we may be able to pass along a discount, we will let you know on a case by case basis. Please do not hesitate to ask.

We value your business and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our shipping policy.

FAQs

What if my artwork arrives damaged?

If the package is received damaged in the mail, photograph the package as it was received as well as the item itself. Email the photos to storylightstudio.com along with a description of what is damaged. Your material will be reviewed and if it is determined that there was indeed a problem during shipping, your item will be replaced with no questions shipped as soon as possible.

How do I know that I'll like my painting once it arrives without seeing it in person prior to purchasing?

We use the highest quality scans of the artwork to display on the product pages. Most images of the art itself are professionally imaged and color corrected to the original artwork by professionals. Your artwork will look the same or of higher quality than what you are seeing on your screen.
